day 01 sun Venice Arrival
Arrive independently at your hotel on Venice Island. The remaining of the day is at leisure to explore this amazing city on your own.
day 02 mon Venice-Cortina and Dolomites-Venice
In the morning meet the group at the Bus Terminal Piazzale Roma and depart at 08.30am for a full day tour to Cortina and the Dolomites. Passing through tunnels with astounding views of canyons and valleys that appear as if from nowhere, the scenery is quite simply, breathtaking. The Dolomites are this and much more. On arrival at Cortina, ‘the Pearl of the Dolomites’, you will have approximately 1 ½ hours of free time to stroll around and take in the picturesque views of the mountains. Weather permitting you may also take the Cable car up to Faloria at 2134mt (not included, Euro 15,50 per person return), which overlooks the entire town of Cortina and the surrounding mountains. We then continue our trip towards the natural lake of Misurina (1756mt) taking the toll road up to the outstanding peaks of the ‘Tre Cime di Lavaredo’, 2,360mt with more unforgettable views of the Dolomites. Here you will have time to wander around or alternatively, you can enjoy an optional lunch, whilst admiring the beautiful mountain peaks and spectacular backdrop with views of ‘Sorapis’, and the ‘Marmarole’. Surrounded by scenery as stunning as this, photo opportunities are plentiful! After lunch we journey on to admire the picturesque Auronzo lake passing through enchanting mountain villages. We then make our way back to Venice.
day 03 tue Verona and Amarone
After breakfast, meet the group at the Bus Terminal Piazzale Roma and depart at 8.30 for a full day in Verona and Amarone. You will discover the magic of the wonderful city of Verona Italy, during three hours of free time, and take the opportunity to have a wine tasting in a vineyard in the Valpolicella region. Learn more about the famous 'Amarone' Italian wine.The tour starts when we arrive in the centre of Verona at Piazza Bra where the world famous 1st Century outdoor Arena is located: third largest in Italy, it has over 22,000 seats and is the perfect place for outdoor operas and concerts. You will have approximately two and a half hours of free time to visit the house of Juliet (as in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet), the historical Piazza delle Erbe and some of the exclusive shops around the city. After Verona, we will head on over to the medieval towns of the Valpolicella region, time for an optional lunch and a chance to visit the 13th Century church of San Giorgio with its splendid altar dating back to 712 a.d. where there are some of the most beautiful, panoramic views of Sirmione and Lake Garda. From there we drive to a vineyard to have a guided visit and learn more about the famous 'Amarone' wine. We will enjoy tasting some of the different wines they produce and have a chance to purchase a few bottles to take with you, such as Amarone and Recioto della Valpolicella. Then just sit back and enjoy the views as we return to Venice.
day 04 wed Lake Garda
Meet at the Bus Terminal Piazzale Roma to start the tour at 8.30am. This excellent tour is a great opportunity to take in beautiful Lake Garda in just one day. Leaving Venice early your English-speaking driver will take you to the charming town of Riva del Garda. Arrival at Sirmione. Free time. Boat tour from Sirmione to Bardolino. Stop in Garda. Free time. Optional lunch in a restaurant in the town centre. In the afternoon, return to Venice via motorway.
day 05 thu Venice-Departure
Your tour comes to an end in the morning. Own arrangement for departure or request a private transfer.
Inclusions: twin share at Hotel Do Pozzi or similar 3*, breakfast daily, English speaking driver-escort, transportation in a private car or minuivan, boat trip on Lake Garda, tasting the Amarone wines, a public boat tour Sirmione/Bardolino, a glass of the famous Bardolino wine, services and taxes.
Sightseeing: Dolomites, Cortina, Misurina Lake, Tre Cime and Auronzo Lake, visit Valpolicella region and wine tasting in a typical “Cantinas”, visit Sirmione and visit Bardolino.
Exclusions: City taxes to be paid directly to hotels, arrival & departure transfers.
