day 01 Catania
Arrive at Catania airport where you will meet your driver for your transfer ot the hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
day 02 Catania-Etna-Randazzo-Catania
Morning departure to Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. We will reach 1800 meters and visit the Sylvester craters. Lunch is at a local restaurant Le Sciarelle, which offers Sicilian cuisine and bio products. Continue to Randazzo where we will be able to taste some pistachos cakes. The area is famous for its pistacho production. Then, we drive back to Catania where you will have the evening at leisure.
day 03 Catania-Ragusa-Catania
Morning departure to Ragusa, beautiful city in the southern part of Sicily and famous for its barroque buildings and palaces. We will visit the Cathedral and the tiny streets of the historical center. Lunch is at a local restaurant Il Barocco. Continue to Modica to visit the town and to taste the famous chocolate (Xocoatl) still done following the old tradition brought to Sicily during the Spanish dominion. Back to Catania and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 04 Catania-Taormina-Catania
After breakfast, depart to Taormina and visit the famous village and in particular the Roman-greek theatre viewing the Etna volcano as well as Naxos bay. We will have lunch at a local restaurant La Baronessa, placed in the center of the village and offers fine dishes. The afternoon is at leisure in Taormina before returning to Catania. You have the evening at leisure.
day 05 Catania
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Catania airport where your tour comes to an end.
Inclusions: twin share in 4* accommodation, breakfast daily, three lunches, return transfers from/to Catania airport, driver-minivan, tour escort and taxes.
Exclusions: meals not included in the inclusions, beverages, local guides, entrance fees and city taxes.
