day 02 Nashville

Nashville is known as the capital of country music. The city earned its title with the very first airing of the WSM Barn Dance radio program, the forerunner of the Grand Ole Opry. The newly renovated Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville, once home of the Grand Ole Opry, the studios near Music Row, and Opryland itself attest to Nashville's reputation as the most important city in country music. Explore Nashville by foot with your local Tour Director where you will take in the sounds of up and coming musicians playing along Broadway, passing by famous Honkie Tonks and Boots stores and soak in the essence of "Music City". May we suggest a visit to the historic Grand Ole Opry including a backstage tour and enjoy the concert which is in fact a live radio broadcast (optional).

day 03 Nashville

Another fun-filled day do immerse yourself in Music City and chose your activities, how about a visit to Country Hall of Fame where great artists have been honored for making Country Music what it is today. A visit will enlighten you more about great names and accomplishments, followed by a visit to the world famous RCA Studio B where artists like Elvis Presley, Waylon Jennings, Dolly Parton, and Roy Orbison, recorded their records (optional). Break in your boots (which you may have bought yesterday!) and join fellow passengers at Wild Horse Saloon in the evening (optional) - kick up your heels and give line dancing a go.

day 04 Nashville-Memphis

Travel across the countryside and arrive in Memphis, the city known for blues music, cotton and home of Sun Records. Take a city tour including Beale Street, the heart of the blues music scene. This afternoon, fans of "The King of Rock and Roll" have the opportunity to tour Graceland, former home of Elvis Presley (optional).

day 05 Memphis- New Orleans

Today's tour takes you to Mississippi, the Magnolia State. Pass through Jackson, the state capital, and continue to Louisiana and New Orleans, the home of the infamous Mardi Gras celebrations. Tonight, immerse yourself in Creole culture on board an authentic Mississippi Riverboat dinner cruise and enjoy the rhythms of a Dixieland jazz band (optional).

day 06 New Orleans

A full day at leisure to take in the French flavor and grandeur of New Orleans. Explore the French Quarter with its trademark wrought iron balconies overlooking the narrow cobblestone streets. Stand atop one of the infamous New Orleans levees and gain the perspective of how these unique feats of architecture guard the city. Travel back in time on the historic river road just outside of New Orleans and visiting one of its most famous plantation homes, Oak Alley followed by a New Orleans Bruch where you will experience the true New Orleans tradition of good food, jazz music, and warm hospitality (optional).

Experience the timeless beauty of South Louisiana in a custom built, all weather swamp boat - native guides will reveal the mysteries of the swamps and bayous and the Cajun "joie de vivre" (optional).
